Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
The Lancer Evolution or Evo is Mitsubishi's flagship sports car. Based only on the unibody of the domesticated Lancer sedan, the Evolution is a rally-inspired, turbocharged, all wheel drive automobile. The number designation of the model is most commonly a roman numeral. Evolution models prior to version V were the officially-approved models for Mitsubishi's efforts in the World Rally Championship's Group A class and SCCA Pro Rally Championship. In order to follow these rules, the Evolution is based on the same platform as the Lancer. However, it is much more powerful than the standard Lancer, with the unibody being the only major part in common between the two.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder
The 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder is a 2-door, 4-passenger convertible, or convertible sports car, available in two trims, the GS and the GT.

Upon introduction, the GS is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 162-horsepower engine that achieves 22-mpg in the city and 29-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission is optional. The GT is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 260-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, and a 5-speed automatic transmission is optional.
Mitsubishi Raider
Mitsubishi Raider
Mitsubishi Raider
The Mitsubishi Raider is a pickup truck from Mitsubishi Motors that debuted in the fall of 2005 as a 2006 model for the United States market and is based largely on the Dodge Dakota. The Raider filled the gap in the Mitsubishi lineup since the discontinuation of the Mighty Max in 1996. The Raider is built in the United States by DaimlerChrysler. Engine choices included a 4.7 L PowerTech V8 making 230 hp and 290 ft?lbf and a 3.7 L PowerTech V6 which produced 210 hp. It is also Mitsubishi's first V8 engine for North America.

The name is recycled from the Dodge Raider SUV sold from 1987 to 1990, which was a rebadged Mitsubishi Montero.

377 and 492 units were sold in January and February 2006 respectively, compared to 4,583 and 6,260 Dakotas. Mitsubishi dealers reportedly have a six-month supply of Raiders on their lots, and the company asked DaimlerChrysler to cut production.[1] 9,861 Raiders were built in 2005, and just 297 more were built from the first of the year through March 11, 2006 according to Automotive News.[2]

The Raider is not currently available in Canada, where the brand has only sold since roughly 2003. It is quite likely a combination of both this, as well as the fact that the model does not receive hardly any advertising (especially compared to Dodge's Dakota) that the Raider has seen lower sales numbers, despite being mechanically identical, and priced close to the more popular Dakota.

These are cars that can be placed in that file labelled 'but what do they look like?' That's a shame, as Mitsubishi's Galant, in every guise so far produced, has proved to be a capable design deserving of far more success than was actually achieved. Recently lifted import restrictions held back sales, of course, but helped ensure stronger residual values than more common rivals. Restrained styling didn't help much either, because the Galant had to battle far more charismatic European competitors. A new model, released in early 1997, at last gained distinctive styling and the UK importer reckons this plus price cuts announced at the end of 1999 have changed the Galant's image from forgettable to desirable. The latest shape is on the used market in relatively small numbers but sufficient to give some much-needed zest to Mitsubishi's reliable and long-lasting image.
Mitsubishi eclipse

Mitsubishi eclipse
For more than a decade and a half, the Mitsubishi Eclipse has been one of America's more popular sport coupes. Its success can be attributed to several factors that have remained constant throughout its run, including sleek styling, powerful engines, a decent amount of comfort, and affordability.

Interestingly, these traits also describe the traditional domestic rear-drive sport coupe, and some have described the Mitsubishi Eclipse as the Japanese version of a pony car. They point out that the Eclipse has typically not been as nimble as other imported coupes, and has instead been best at straight-line performance. The Eclipse has also always been designed solely for the U.S. market and is a rarity in other parts of the world.

The original Eclipse was the result of a joint venture in the mid-'80s between Mitsubishi and Chrysler, known as Diamond Star Motors (DSM). For model-year 1990 at a plant in central Illinois, the partners started production of what was known as the Diamond Star triplets: similar versions of the same Mitsubishi-engineered car, including the Eclipse, the Eagle Talon and the Plymouth Laser. The DSM partnership no longer exists as it once did, and only the Eclipse remains in production.
Mitsubishi Outlander
Mitsubishi Outlander
Mitsubishi Outlander
Summary: The latest Outlander is a massive leap forward over its predecessor. Mitsubishi has produced a compact SUV that's not only good to drive, but should prove great to live with, too. + Car-like handling, fuss-free four-wheel-drive system, seven seats, great value for money - Rear seats look like an afterthought, diesel engine needs more polish Driving For now, the Outlander offers only a single engine choice, an economical 2.0-litre diesel developed by Volkswagen. And it ticks all the right boxes when it comes to practicality and efficiency, as it produces 138bhp while returning 42.8mpg. On the road, the Outlander feels assured and composed. It's based on a new platform that also underpins the latest generation Lancer saloon, which means the compact SUV feels very car-like to drive. Of course, in tight corners it suffers from more body roll than your average hatchback, but the steering is accurate for such a big machine and the ride is comfortably supple. Marketplace Described as a 'crossover' car rather than a dedicated mud-plugger, the Outlander shares its platform with the Citroen C-Crosser and Peugeot 4007. With its bulging wheelarches, angular headlights and tough metal-look lower front bumper, the Outlander certainly stands out on British roads. It's a million miles away from the previous-generation model, which was quietly dropped from Mitsubishi's UK line-up back in 2005 following disappointing sales. Chunky silver roof rails and sculpted side sills add to the Outlander's road presence, but the rear overhang looks a bit out of proportion with the rest of the muscular bodywork. Under the skin, clever variable four-wheel-drive offers three distinct modes
Mitsubishi Endeavor
Mitsubishi Endeavor
Mitsubishi Endeavor
Mitsubishi is becoming a full-range SUV manufacturer, what with the entry-level Outlander, Montero, Montero Sport, and the new Endeavor slotted between the two Monteros.

Endeavor is defined by Mitsubishi as a "mid-sized crossover SUV," but in fact it's simply a mid-size. And it's a nice mid-size.

Dimensionally, Endeavor fits in with just about all the competition. It has a 109-inch wheelbase and is 90 inches in overall length. So if you sit behind the wheel of the Endeavor after coming from another SUV, you will feel right at home.
